1. Physics in the 20th Century - all done by men?!
From: Douglas Duncan [Douglas.Duncancolorado.edu]

Here's an email I just sent to Imperial College Press.

Dear Sirs,

I received your 20 page catalogue highlighting
"Physics in the 20th Century," which included perhaps 30
photographs of physicists.

I was rather surprised and disappointed to see not
a single woman among them.

Here is a link that highlights the accomplishments of many 20th
century women physicists:
http://cwp.library.ucla.edu/
One, of course, is Jocelyn Bell Burnell, who discovered
pulsars not all that far from Imperial College.
Another is Margret Burbidge, who was Director of the Royal Greenwich
Observatory and co-authored "Burbidge, Burbidge, Fowler,
and Hoyle," the fundamental paper explaining the origin
of the elements.

Perhaps you can begin work on a second edition which includes
them.
