Mailing Printed Materials from the United States

The following description of M-bag is taken from sections of the Airmail M-Bags. Journals and books may be shipped in M-bags using the International Surface Air Lift (ISAL) Service providing quick and economical delivery. Direct Sack of Printed Matter to a Single Addressee (M-bag)

Any customer who has a minimum of 11 pounds of printed matter items for a single foreign addressee can mail them in an M-bag. The total weight of the sack and its contents may not exceed 66 pounds.

Permissible contents include any type or combination of types of printed matter. However, merchandise items may not be enclosed in M-bags.

To mail an M-bag, complete a PS Tag 158, M-Bag Addressee Tag, and attach it to the exterior of the sack. Consult your post office for details and preparation requirements.
