- The NASA Institute for Advanced Concepts (NIAC) -- chartered and funded by NASA to solicit, select, fund and nurture revolutionary advanced concepts for aeronautics and space -- has released its latest Phase I Call for Proposals, CP 01-02. The current due date is midnight, February 11, 2002. You can download the Call at this website.
- The NSF provides a special grant of up to $4,000 for travel and living support for US women scientists and, when appropriate, up to $4,000 to her American male or female co-PI to collaborate or establish programs with colleagues in Central/Eastern Europe and the Newly Independent States of the former Soviet Union. - The Eppley Foundation for Resarch, Inc. - This private foundation provides average grant sizes of $15,000 to postdoctoral researchers in the biological and physical sciences, including Astronomy. Three deadlines per year ( 2-1, 5-1 and 8-1). - Association for Women in Science - AWIS offers scholarships through its educational foundation each year.
- Sigma Xi - The Scientific Research Society offers grants each year to young researchers.
- Fund for Astrophysical Research - The Fund for Astrophysical Research offers grants for acquisition of astronomical equipment, computer time, computer hardware or software that will be used in research.
