The Department of Physics at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor (or at a higher rank in the case of exceptionally qualified candidates). The applicant is expected to become a dedicated teacher of astronomy and physics at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The position will require supervision of astronomy laboratories for undergraduate students and the UTA Planetarium. The successful applicant will have demonstrated potential for establishing a significant externally funded research program in keeping with the current research interests of the department. These include Astrophysics, Condensed Matter Physics, High Energy Physics and Physics Education. More details can be found at www.uta.edu/physics.
