The successful candidate will work with the MSU Gravitational Wave Background project. Candidates with experience and interest in general relativity, gravitational waves, relativistic astrophysics, and cosmology are encouraged to apply. All candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field.
The relativity group at MSU is currently comprised of three faculty (Bill Hiscock, Neil Cornish and Matt Benacquista), one postdoc and five graduate students. The Bozeman campus is nestled in the Rocky Mountains, a short drive from Yellowstone National Park and several ski resorts. The area offers many options for the outdoor sport enthusiast.
