Applications are being accepted for a PostDoctoral Research Position with Prof.
Karl Glazebrook at the Johns Hopkins University Center for Astrophysical
Sciences to work on new high-redshift spectroscopic surveys. The work will
involve analysis of deep multi-color optical + IR imaging data, including
development of photometric redshift techniques, with a view towards selection of
complete high-redshift galaxy samples and subsequent spectroscopic observations
on 4-8m class telescopes. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in astronomy or physics
and have demonstrated scientific accomplishments. Previous experience in
large extragalactic surveys is highly desirable. Applicants will be considered
primarily at the Post Doctoral Associate level.
Appointments at other levels are possible, depending on background and
experience. Appointees will have access to the Apache Point Observatory and the
Sloan Digital Sky Survey. Applicants should send a resume and the names of
