The Department of Physics and Astronomy and the Institute of Geophysics and
Planetary Physics (IGPP) at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA),
are soliciting applications for a tenure-track position in Theoretical
Astrophysics. The position is expected to be at the Assistant Professor level,
but a high level appointment could be considered. The primary area for this
search is Plasma Astrophysics, with potential focus on research areas such as,
but not limited to, Origins of the Solar Systems, Astrophysical Disks, Jets,
Winds, Solar Physics, Supernovae, Structure Formation, and Cosmology.
Appointments will be made either solely by the Department of Physics and
Astronomy, or jointly with IGPP, depending on the subject area.
