SUMMER TEACHING POSITION at ST. PAUL'S SCHOOL—Concord, New Hampshire. The School
seeks a master teacher in observational astronomy for the ADVANCED STUDIES
PROGRAM (ASP). The ASP is an intensive academic immersion program for a select
group of New Hampshire public high school seniors, and runs from 20 June - 29 July
2001. The course is intended to introduce students to the field of
astronomy, with particular emphasis on observational astronomy. The program
makes full use of the school’s Astronomy Center, a facility with four domes,
chart house, and observation deck. Responsibilities include teaching one
section (15 students) for 21 hours per week, balanced between observation and
classroom instruction, and overseeing an undergraduate intern. Position includes
salary to be discussed at hiring plus room and board. Applicants should contact
