Research Scientist (Indefinite-term) in Computational Astronomy

--Job description--
The successful candidate will lead research to understand the molecular evolution in the universe based on computational approach.  It is desired that candidate actively contribute to research on the chemical evolution along star and planet formation.  Specifically, the successful candidate constructs models* by integrating insights from e.g. interstellar chemistry obtained through radio and infrared observations, knowledge on molecular science obtained from experiments and/or quantum chemical calculations, and/or models of physical evolution processes such as star formation. (Japanese language skills are welcome but not mandatory).

*Applicants are encouraged to apply, regardless of whether they have experience in the research described above (i.e. combining astrochemistry and astrophysics or constructing their own models). However, it is desirable to have experience in ONE of the computational astronomical research, such as chemical network calculations, excitation calculations, radiative-transfer calculations of molecular/atomic lines, or disk evolution model calculations.
