The Department of Physics and Astronomy at California State University, Los Angeles seeks an Assistant Professor in Astronomy/Astrophysics for a position beginning August 2023.
Cal State LA is located 5 miles east of downtown Los Angeles and is a nationally recognized leader in achieving upward mobility for its diverse and multicultural student body. The Department seeks a candidate who is committed to teaching astronomy and astrophysics at all levels of instruction (including GE), as well as within the standard physics curriculum where appropriate, and who can establish a research program in astronomy or astrophysics that actively involves undergraduate and master’s students.
