Job Description

A tenure-track faculty position is available at the Anton Pannekoek Institute for Astronomy (API) of the University of Amsterdam (UvA). We are looking for a candidate with a strong research program in stellar astrophysics, in particular with connections to resolved stellar populations in the Local Group and beyond.

We especially welcome applications from experts exploring the possibilities provided by current and future facilities such as the Extremely Large Telescope, specifically the MOSAIC instrument, and the James Webb Space Telescope. We envision the new staff member to take on an active role in positioning the API within the Dutch and international instrumentation plan, and to connect their research to other focus areas at the Anton Pannekoek Institute, which includes an expanding data science profile.

For all details about this position, our organization and the application procedure, please visit the job announcement on the UvA webpage (see URL).
