The Department of Astronomy at Yonsei University is inviting applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant or associate professor position in next-generation observational astronomy, starting in 2024. Candidates who have played a significant role in large international collaboration projects are strongly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate should hold a Ph.D. in astronomy or a closely related field and demonstrate excellent abilities in defining and developing independent research programs.
The Department of Astronomy's current faculty members cover a wide range of research topics, including stellar astrophysics, galaxy formation, gravitational waves, gravitational lensing, galaxy clusters, and cosmology.
