HTML Block Schedule FAQ's

What is the PDF Block Schedule?

The PDF Block Schedule for AAS meetings is downloadable PDF version of the schedule for the AAS meeting, suitable for printing. It is essentially the same block schedule as will appear in the Bulletin of the American Astronomical Society (BAAS) for the meeting in question.

How is the PDF Block Schedule structured?

The first page is typically reserved for pre-meeting activities and information. The second and subsequent pages list time of session from the top of the page down and sessions of all types are listed horizontally. For oral sessions, each horizontal entry takes place in a particular location, which is listed along with the meeting type, session number and session title. Color coding is used to help distinguish particular types of session. Certain events, such as receptions, press conferences, splinter meetings, collaboration get-togethers etc, are not listed in the block schedule.

I can't find my poster/talk in the block schedule...why not?

Individual contributions to AAS meetings are not provided in the PDF Block Schedule, simply session titles. To find a particular contribution, you must access the schedule using either the HTML version, search the schedule or use the itinerary builder.
