Job Center Summary
The Job Center, held at the Winter Meeting, is a designated area for employers and job seekers to meet. It is designed to facilitate informal interviews. It is our hope that successful formal interviews will be the next step for everyone.
The Job Center is held at the Meeting site in either a curtained-off area of the exhibit hall or a separate room. The location is advertised in the Meeting's Final Program and signs are posted onsite. Those looking for an astronomical job or employee should participate. Meeting registration is required. See the Job Register for a sample of the positions advertised at the Job Center.
Employers: If you are planning to conduct interviews in Austin, please send your name, institution, position and brief job description for which you will be interviewing to jobs@aas.org
Job Seekers: To participate, please submit your resume and cover sheet to jobs@aas.org by 15 December 2007. After this date, you may bring your resume with you to the Job Center at the Winter Meeting.
Required If you have an open position in the Job Register and would like to interview at the Job Center, send your name, institution, job number and position for which you will be interviewing to jobs@aas.org and the AAS will post your job at the Meeting.
If you have a non-Job Register position, bring a copy of the job ad with you to the Job Center for posting. Register for the Meeting and sign-in at the Job Center.
