AAS Informational Email 2008-01
Subject: Invited Sessions and Prize Talks at Austin AAS Meeting Now Available Online

The AAS is now making the invited and prize lectures at each AAS meeting available online for those who could not attend the meeting, but would still like to benefit from the invited and prize talks.
Audio and video versions are available at: http://aas211.showmaestro.com/
The talks will be indexed on iTunes (under podcasts) by mid-March and also available on the AAS webpage.
The format of the new video presentations is under development. Currently, a large part of the screen is available for slides or an image of the speaker, while a smaller portion of the screen is available for alternate video. The two viewable regions are swapped during post production. As we gain experience with post production, the presentation format will be improved. The current format is adequate for following the talks and seeing the bulk of the slides presented.
