Subject: Help AAS advocate for NSF funding on 12 & 13 September

The AAS is seeking volunteers to lobby Congress on the issue of increased NSF funding on 12 & 13 September.  The reason for this multidisciplinary effort is to make a final push for FY 2007 NSF Appropriations. 

Tuesday, 12 September will be an orientation beginning at 3:30pm followed by a reception at 5:30.  On Wednesday, 13 September, participants will make advocacy visits to Hill offices as part of interdisciplinary teams. 

A small amount of support for travel costs and lodging will be made available on a per-case basis. 

Local volunteers who do not need lodging are strongly encouraged to participate.
