Job Description

The department of Physics and Astronomy at Western Kentucky University invites applications for a nine-month temporary instructor beginning August 12, 2024. We seek a person with a strong commitment to teaching undergraduate courses and laboratories in physics and/or astronomy. The successful candidate will teach up to 15 contact hours per semester in a mixture of introductory lecture and laboratory courses in physics and/or astronomy, in accordance with their preparation and experience. Courses will be assigned to minimize the number of different course preparation responsibilities. The minimum qualifications for the position are holding an MS degree in physics, astronomy or a related field and teaching experience at least at the level of a graduate teaching assistant.
